Third Annual Community Art Exhibition

Calling all Triangle Area Artists

We invite all Triangle-based artists to showcase their talents at the 3nd Annual Art Exhibition hosted by Leela Foundation. The exhibition will run from Friday, August 28, 2026, until noon on Sunday, September 26, 2026.

ELIGIBILITY:

• Original works created within the last 3 years.

• Not previously displayed at Leela Foundation's art exhibition(s).

• Two-dimensional art only.

• Ensure no copyright infringements.

THEME: I have a dream.

"I Have a Dream" celebrates the power of imagination, hope, and the courage to envision a better world. Through art, we invite each artist to give shape to their dreams; personal, collective, or universal. Inspire others to dream without limits.

ARTWORK DETAILS:

• Maximum size for all artwork is 12” x 16” (including frame).

• No more than two art works per artist.

ENTRY FEES:

• Non-refundable entry fee: $15 per artist.

• If an arts instructor is registering multiple student artists, the $15 fee is per artist.

SUBMISSION DEADLINE:

• E-submission by 5 PM on Sunday, August 2, 2026

• IMP: After submitting payment, please look out for a confirmation email that has a link to a form for submitting images of the artwork.

• Use 1 form submission per artist.

TWO-DIMENSIONAL ART & FRAMING: 

• Paper Works: Must be framed with clean, unscratched, and intact glass or Plexiglas.

• Canvas Works: Must be framed or have gallery-wrapped, finished edges with no visible staples.

• Frames: Must be in good condition, free of scratches and loose corners.

• Mats: Must be clean and smoothly cut.

• Hanging: Must have a firmly attached hanging wire with screw-eyes or D-rings, not exceeding the top of the frame. Saw tooth hangers are not accepted.

REVIEW AND INCLUSION:

• All entries will be reviewed for theme adherence and artwork condition.

• Inclusion is at the sole discretion of the Selection Team.

• Number of pieces selected depends on space and artwork quality.

• Submissions deemed inappropriate or offensive will be rejected.

RESPONSIBILITY STATEMENT:

• Leela Foundation is not responsible for any loss or damage to submitted artwork.

HOW TO APPLY:

Complete this application form and upload the following materials as one zipped file:

• Images of Work: Up to 2 images, each approximately 900 pixels (longest dimension) and no larger than 600 KB. Submit each as a separate .jpg file. The file name should be, "YourFirstName_YourLastName_Art#", Example: Mickey_Mouse_Art2.jpg

SCHEDULE (subject to change):

• Application Deadline: 5 PM on Sunday, August 2, 2026

• Selection Results: Thursday, August 06, 2026

• Art Drop-off: Noon–6:00 PM, Thursday, August 27, 2026, at The ArtsCenter

• Art Pickup: Noon–3:00 PM, Sunday, September 27, 2026, at The ArtsCenter
