About the Instructors
Smt. Jayashree Aravind
Smt. Jayashree Aravind, a disciple of Sangeetha Kalanidhi Shri K.S. Narayanaswamy, is a distinguished Veena artiste with decades of experience as a performer and teacher.
She has also trained with renowned Vidwans like Smt. T. Brinda and Palghat Shri K.V. Narayanaswamy. A Grade A artiste of All India Radio, she has an extensive repertoire featuring compositions by Muttuswami Dikshithar, Subbaraya Sastri, and others.
Smt. Jayashree Aravind has performed at prestigious venues in India, including The Music Academy and Swathi Festival, and has been recognized as the Best Veena artiste by The Music Academy and Indian Fine Arts Society. Her international tours span Europe, with performances and demonstrations in Switzerland, Germany, Vienna, Italy, and the South of France.
She is known for her soulful renditions and dedication to nurturing the next generation of Carnatic musicians.
