Outreach
Leela Foundation’s Outreach initiatives are rooted in a deep commitment to inclusivity, accessibility, and community engagement. Through free public events that celebrate dance and other artistic expressions, we aim to introduce new audiences to the richness of the arts while ensuring that participating artists are compensated through honorariums.
In 2023, with support from the North Carolina Arts Council’s Spark the Arts grant, we launched a need-based scholarship program to support adult learners in dance, addressing the Creative Aging component of the grant. https://www.leela-foundation.org/leela-scholarship This program reflects our ongoing dedication to making the joy of learning and participating in the arts available to all, regardless of financial circumstances.
