About the Event

Join Leela Foundation, Saturday, March 20 at 10 am (EST), 7:30 pm (IST) for The Legacy Series in which scholars, artists, and performers discuss the legacy of art. This month, we welcome Sangeet Natak Akademi recipient, Mandakini Trivedi as she discusses the Aesthetics of Indian Classical Dance. A dancer, scholar, choreographer and the Creative Head of Nateshvari Dance Gurukul, Mandakini will communicate the world view that Indian dance provides in simple relatable terms and give clarity to what makes Indian Classical Dance unique.

Our talk will be moderated by Kaustavi Sarkar, Assistant Professor Department of Dance, University of North Carolina at Charlotte. The event is free, but registration is needed to attend. Please email info@leela-foundation.org to register and receive the zoom link for the event.
